The speakers have a clear plastic chamber that are above the base where you can see the water and light show dances according to the beat of the music that you play on the speakers. The front of the speakers is 1.5 inches, and it pushes the air into the plastic chamber. Due to the push, the four streams of water and the multi colored light react to your music.
